AEROSTAR 175 COMPLETE SYSTEM W/RB8

2002 Aerostar Aero 175 (S71-A). This is a complete 8 passenger ride system, ready to fly.

ENVELOPE: This beautiful envelope is a 2002 Aerostar S71-A (175,000 c.f.). Made from Aerostar's long lasting Diamond Weave fabric, it has many hours of revenue producing life left, with barely 400 hours (404.5TT). It is equipped with Aerostar's tried and true Para-Rip top deflation system, dual turning vents and a newer style Dipper. This envelope was meticulously annualled by Rocky Mountain Hot Air in February before being returned to service for another 100 hours. Porosity was reported as "all under 20 CFM" and all fabric pull tests "exceed 100 hour requirements". This was one of the last few 175 envelopes produced by Aerostar before they exited the market.

GONDOLA: The gondola is Aerostar's work horse RB8, eight to ten passenger partitioned ride basket, with 4 separate padded passenger compartments for maximum passenger safety. It comes equipped with three 23.5 gallon V23 fuel tanks, giving it the highest on board fuel capacity using only three fuel tanks of any brand ride balloon on the market, thereby maximizing passenger space within the basket. It is powered by Aerostar's 30,000,000 BTU/HR Zone V Dual burners, allowing one handed burner operation. Ball 655 instruments.

THE FINE PRINT: The lower end came from a ride operation in AZ. It is older than the envelope and has seen some hard use. It is a solid, AIRWORTHY basket, but could certainly use some TLC. I have not yet annualled the lower end, but will do so with sale. I will fund any work NECESSARY to return lower end to service, but nothing more. The envelope is currently in use in our ride operation over a different lower end and may have a few more hours on it by the time of sale. If TT exceeds 415 at time of sale, I will put fresh annual on the envelope with the sale. If TT is under 415, it will come with the current annual good through 2/28/2011. Interested buyers are encouraged to ask questions and personally inspect system prior to sale.
